心臓SPECT検査は従来型のNaIクリスタルを用いたγカメラから、高解像度、高感度、高エネルギー分解能といった特徴を持つ半導体検出器搭載γカメラに興味が移っている。心臓PETも心サルコイドーシスの病勢診断に保険適応が認められたため、頻用されるようになった。形態学的診断から生理学的な検査の重要性が強調されている。
We installed D-SPECT® in October, 2014 on our brand new hospital. The majority of SPECT scans at our hospital are myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI), so the purpose of purchasing a cardiac SPECT machine was to reduce waiting time. Not only that, this new technology allows us to perform 1) simultaneous dual-isotope imaging, 2) low radiation exposure imaging and 3) high spatial resolution imaging. Optimal patient imaging includes shorter acquisition time, short waiting period, improved comfort and patient compliance, lower radiation exposure, lower medical cost and higher diagnostic performance. We believe that most of those improvements are accomplished with D-SPECT®.
