物理工学と医学生物学の双方に深く関わる放射線治療分野は、医学領域の中でも発展が目覚ましい分野のひとつであろう。本稿では、物理工学分野で目覚ましく発展する人工知能、医学生物学分野で近年注目されている腫瘍免疫、そして個別化医療の最近の知見を紹介し、放射線治療のイノベーションを予想(妄想)してみようと思う。
