FPD一般撮影装置は臨床的に有用なツールであり、トモシンセシス検査も容易に施行できる。複雑な構造の関節の撮影では、われわれの考案した新撮影技術により適切な画像が得られやすく、再撮影数を減らせる。トモシンセシスの読影はCTと同様にページング法で行えば比較的容易である。思わぬ落とし穴に陥らないためには、CTとの違いを十分理解する必要がある。様々な最新画像再構成技術も登場しつつあり、トモシンセシスの有効活用が大いに期待される。
FPD radiography systems are clinically useful tools and we can also easily perform digital tomosynthesis (DT) examinations with some of these systems. Use of novel imaging techniques originally invented at our institution enables easier and more successful acquisition of adequate FPD radiographs even for joints of a complicated structure. For most radiologists, appropriate interpretation of DT images is comparatively easy using a paging method like CT, whereas understanding of differences between DT and CT images is critical for avoiding the pitfalls. More useful applications of DT are highly expected in clinical settings with the advent of various state-of-the-art imaging reconstruction techniques.
