低管電圧CTでは少ないヨード造影剤量でこれまでと同程度の造影効果、画質が得られるメリットがあり、実臨床ですでに応用されている。ファントム実験では造影剤減量に伴う注入レートの低下が大動脈ピークの低下をもたらすことが確認され、今後さらなる造影剤減量を試みる際には注入レートの影響を考慮する必要があると思われる。
