日本の大腸がん死亡者数の増加は重大な問題である。検診受診率を上げることが急務であるが、要精検者数が増えた場合に大腸内視鏡検査だけではなく、大腸CT検査を活用する必要がある。大腸CT検査の精度検証は欧米、そして日本でも行われ、良好な精度と高い安全性が認められた。これを実践するためには標準化が必要である。
Standardization of CT colonography for establishing the recognition system in Japan. Nowadays, the increase of cancer death caused by colorectal cancer is a critical subject in Japan. The colorectal cancer screening should be promoted urgently. Under that situation, CT colonography will be required as an alternative examination of colonoscopy when the increasing candidates of colorectal cancer need to receive extensive testing. The efficacy and safety of CT colonography has been already proved in the US, Europe, and Japan. Therefore, the examination of CT colonography should be standardized for clinical use everywhere in Japan to establish the recognition system in near future.
