対策型乳がん検診における高濃度乳房に対して、一律に通知することは「時期尚早」とされ、現時点では13.5%の自治体のみであるが、今後増加すると予想される。現場では具体的な通知の方法、その後の推奨のあり方、(例えば)超音波検査の受入れ体制など検討を早急に進める必要がある。

　A uniform method of notifying women about a finding of dense breasts after preventive breast cancer screening is considered to be in the “premature” stage, as it is presently carried out by only 13.5% of municipalities, but is expected to increase in the future. There is an urgent need on site to assess specific methods of notification, how to present recommendations thereafter, and systems to accept ultrasound and other examinations.
