Ruby coilを用いた塞栓術では、太く、長いコイルの特徴を生かし、使用本数の削減と手技時間の短縮が可能であった。また、3種類の柔軟度、形状のラインナップを使い分けることにより確実で高いコイル体積率を実現できた。更に、Peripheral occlusion Device(POD)による母血管塞栓では、比較的血流の高い血管でもアンカーコイル機能により目的部位からずれることなく正確な留置が可能で、パッキングコイル機能によりコイル使用数を削減できた。
Utilizing the Ruby Coil’s larger size, volume, flexibility, and long lengths reduced the number of embolic devices needed and procedural time. Offering three levels of softness and shape lineup, using different devices for different tasks enabled delivery into difficult spaces or vessels and facilitated higher packing density, and a reliable high coil volume ratio could be realized. With maternal vascular occlusion by the peripheral occlusion device (POD), even blood vessels with a relatively high flow do not deviate from the target part due to the anchor function and accurate placement is possible. The packing coil function leads to the use of fewer devices.
